Sheep are the female counterpart of Rams. They can be domesticated and raised by players.
A Sheep drops Raw Mutton and Wool when killed. Wool can also be obtained by using Shears.
Wild Sheep can be found roaming in Forest, Plains, Snow, and Swamp biomes. They can also be bought from Villages, visiting Farmers, and visiting Animal Keepers. By using ropes, they can be led and fenced in to create a pen.
Attacking village Sheep will enrage the settlers, making them hostile against the player.
Tame Sheep can be bred when around Rams, as long as both are tame and ready to breed. To tame a sheep, it needs to be fed Wheat for a prolonged time by hand or using a nearby Feeding Trough.
Sheep sold by Farmers and Animal Keepers are already tame on purchase.
